Sprint Flyer George Pappas Commits To Ohio State

Ohio State’s most recent commitment comes from George Pappas of Lane Four Aquatics in Iowa.

As a sprint butterflier and freestyler, Pappas has a lot of potential to develop into a strong contributor for the buckeyes. With Ohio State’s track record of developing young talent, they should do well with George over the next four years. His best event is the 100 fly, at 49.92. His sprint freestyle is in the same ballpark at 21.01 and 45.96. His fourth event is most likely the 200 IM, with a best time of 1:52.61.

“I choose Ohio State because the friendly team, expert coaching staff, and amazing facilities provide a place where I know I can thrive academically and athletically.”

Pappas graduates this spring and will be joining the Buckeyes in Columbus this fall.
