Several Young Stars Are Set to Compete at the FSPA High School Invitational

The psych sheets for the Florida FSPA High School Invitational have been released and feature tons of young and rising stars! The FSPA Invitational has been called one of the fastest meets of the season, and the Bolles School can attest to that. Last year at the same meet, the Bolles School relay of Ryan Murphy, Santo Condorelli, Joseph Schooling, and Josh Booth, broke not one, but two High School National Records in the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay.

Their time in the 200 freestyle relay was a 1:20.88. Ryan Murphy led off in 20.24, Joseph Schooling then split 20.58, Santo Condorelli followed with a 20.03, and Josh Booth anchored in 20.03.

Their time in the 400 freestyle relay was a 2:58.58. They swam in the same order and split 44.52, 44.68, 43.80 and 45.58.

Their coach , Sergio Lopez Miro, said in his blog that he was most impressed with the fact that his team did not rest and taper for this meet.

This year’s psych sheet shows a lot of talent spread throughout the meet. Several National Age Group record holders as well as swimmers that participated in the FINA World Championships and FINA Junior World Championships will be swimming. This may be the first opportunity for swimmers to take down the first National Age Group Records in the 2013-2014 season.
