Sawyer Stolarczyk, a 3-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American from Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, has announced his intention to swim and study at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill beginning this fall. In January 2026, he had committed to Dartmouth’s class of 2030.
Stolarczyk wrote on social media:
“I am thrilled to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill! Thank you to my friends, family, and coaches who all helped me get to this point. Special thanks to Coach Mark for giving me the opportunity to represent UNC. Go Tar Heels! 🩵🐏”
Stolarczyk graduated from Great Hearts Monte Vista in San Antonio, after having swum three years on the varsity swim team. As a junior at the 2025 UIL 4A State Swimming & Diving Championships, he won the 200 free (1:39.12) and 500 free (4:36.95) and contributed legs to both freestyle relays.
In club swimming, Stolarczyk moved from Hill Country Aquatics to Waterloo Swimming this spring. At Justin Sectionals in March, his last meet with HCA, he notched lifetime bests in the SCY 50 free (20.46), 100 free (44.58), 200 free (1:35.91), 50 fly (21.54), 100 fly (47.48), and 200 fly (1:47.03).
Stolarczyk will suit up for the Tar Heels with fellow commits Isaac Carsel, Evan Gluck, Blake Hill, Jackson DeBruin, Kuba Shaw, Luka Jovanovic, and Yofang Yu. It took 19.46/ 42.67/ 1:34.69/ 4:20.07 in the freestyle events and 46.43/ 1:45.04 in the butterfly events to score at the 2026 ACC Conference Championships.
