Oops, I forgot that Temple’s school is 6A. They’ll be swimming in the same pool on the same day, but two different meets.

A swimming website for the DC area said that Seliskar said he’s pretty sure he’ll be swimming the 100 breast at the Virginia 5A state championship in two weeks. He should be going head-to-head with Austin Temple. Should be a great race.

I know they are only juniors, but any word on where Vissering/Ledecky/Seliskar are looking for college?

Does anyone else think his tempo is a little slow for a scy 100 breaststroke? No doubt that it was fast for a high school, but if he had a faster tempo I think he could be a 52 mid. Even cordes who is 6’5 has a tempo of 1.16 on the first 75 while pushing 1.11 on the last 25. Carsten was around a 1.2-1.23 the whole race. Looking forward to see what this kid can go in college.

Not to be mistaken as a shot at Carsten. That was a great swim. But swimmers can always make subtle changes for great improvement.

AMAZING SWIM!!!! Seemed a bit shallow on the first pullout due to a flat start.

Not fair to compare to Cordes since he’s a high schooler, but his AR swim from earlier this season shows a deeper, cleaner start/pullout which leads to a cleaner breakout.

I thought the same thing when I was watching it, maybe he will be able to take off a little bit more at NCSAs or whatever championship meet he goes to with NCAP if he cleans that up.
