PITTSBURGH — After a month of travel and training, the University of Pittsburgh swimming and diving teams return home to host George Washington in a non-conference match-up this Friday and Saturday. The meet will be available for streaming on ACCNX. Admission at Trees Pool is free to all fans.

Men’s and women’s platform diving will lead off the meet Friday night at 5 p.m. with the men’s and women’s 1M starting subsequently at 6:10 p.m. Diving will continue into Saturday with the 3M event beginning at 9 a.m. followed by swimming at 11 a.m.

“We’re excited to race this weekend against George Washington,” said head coach John Hargis. “Their head coach, Brian Thomas, always fills a good team and we are excited to get them up here. We’ve had a couple of weeks now to really focus and dial into training, so we are excited to be able to get up and race again.”

The Pitt men’s team looks to build on the momentum gained over the recent weeks in both swimming and diving events, having received votes in the CSCAA national poll. Juniors Jerry Chen and Adam Mahler, along with sophomore Marcin Goraj, pace the way for swimming, while junior Dylan Reed and freshman Cameron Cash leading the men in diving.

For the women, junior captain, Daisy Anderson, is off to a great start in her backstroke and IM events, while freshmen swimmers Beaux Hoffman and Jill Berger and senior diver Amy Read have also started the season with several impressive performances.
