Elise Roediger has added her name to the red-hot recruiting class headed to the University of Wisconsin in the fall. Roediger is from Phoenix, Arizona, where she swims for Phoenix Swim Club and Xavier College Preparatory.

At the recent 2015 Arizona High School State Swimming & Diving Championships, Roediger helped Xavier College Prep to a fourth-place team finish by taking second in the 100 fly and fifth in the 50 free, and with solid swims on the 200 medley and 200 free relays.

Roediger’s best SCY times:

  • 100 fly – 55.33 (Winter Juniors)
  • 200 fly – 2:04.16
  • 50 free – 24.04
  • 100 free – 54.61
  • 200 free – 1:53.83

Wisconsin is an excellent place for a sprinter, and Roediger will be in a position to improve in both her sprint freestyle and her butterfly events. After all, this is the program that produced Ivy Martin, who went from 23-low in high school to 2015 NCAA runner-up in the 50 free. Roediger has great potential to add value to the Badgers’ results. Her training group will include some of the nation’s top swimmers from the high school class of 2016:
