FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The Nova Southeastern Sharks hosted St. Thomas University and Barry University in tri-meet action on Saturday morning. Both squads emerged victorious, as the women defeated St. Thomas 218-43 and Barry 220-30, while the men defeated St. Thomas 165.5-95.5 and Barry 203-52.
(Women)
- The unit featuring Mollie Morfelt, Hannah Montgomery, Kristina Orban and Maya Esparza won the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:43.82 in the meet’s first event.
- Hailey Williams (10:32.94) won the 1000 yard freestyle, while Emilia Ronningdal (10:37.01) and Bree Buchanan (10:50.94) finished second and third, respectively.
- Kristina Orban (1:53.23) won the 200 yard freestyle, while Harliai Curthoys-Davies (1:55.97) and Williams (1:58.15) finished second and third, respectively.
- Nika Tomic (58.78) won the 100 yard backstroke, while teammates Alexa Fuleky (1:00.80) and Kylie Boyle (1:01.48) finished right behind her.
- Hannah Montgomery won the 100 yard breaststroke (1:04.73) and the 200 yard breaststroke (2:21.78).
- Vika Kostromina won the 200 yard butterfly (2:04.77) and the 100 yard butterfly (57.50).
- Zsofia Kurdi won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 52.41.
- Morfelt also won the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:11.36.
- Curthoys-Davies (5:11.99) won the 500 yard freestyle.
- Ronningdal (4:32.69) also won the 400 yard individual medley.
- The unit of Kurdi, Orban, Maxine Egner and Esparza won the 200 yard freestyle relay (1:34.50) to close the meet.
(Men)
- The group of Paul Huvet-Pansard, Michael Kent, Gabe Rzezwicki and Tres Izquierdo took home first place in the 200 yard medley relay.
- Huvet-Pansard (51.63) won the 100 yard backstroke, and teammates Roland Nagy (52.26) finished second. Huvet-Pansard also won the 200 yard backstroke (1:52.27).
- Rzezwicki also took home first place in the 50 yard freestyle (20.97) and the 100 yard butterfly (49.64).
- Gavin Lindley won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 46.05.
- Gustav Henriksen (4:38.98) won the 500 yard freestyle.
- The unit of Izquierdo, Lindley, Mateus Ribiero and Rzezwicki (1:23.43) won the 200 yard freestyle relay.

DAVIE, Fla. — Barry’s men’s and women’s swimming teams kicked off their fall season on Saturday, October 18, at the NSU Aquatic Center in Davie, Fla. The Bucs faced strong competition, taking on the Sunshine State Conference foe, Nova Southeastern and NAIA neighbor, St. Thomas.
