No. 17 Indiana Water Polo Faces Three Ranked Opponents At Fresno State Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 17 Indiana Water Polo continues the 2022 season at the Fresno Invitational, facing three ranked opponents in two days at the Fresno State Aquatic Center.

NOTES

  • All three of IU’s opponents are ranked in the latest CWPA Top 25. It will face two top ten teams in No. 8 Fresno State and No. 10 UC Davis while finishing off the weekend against No. 13 Long Beach State.
  • After opening the season 4-0, the Hoosiers (5-3) competed in the Michigan Invitational in Ann Arbor, Michigan by going 1-3 against foes with its lone victory over #22 Marist.
  • In the win, freshman center Skylar Kidd showed out with five goals. At the conclusion of the Michigan Invitational, senior center Izzy Mandema led the Hoosiers with 10 goals over the four games with senior attacker Tina Doherty coming in right behind Mandema, recording 9 goals.
  • Mandema leads the way with 24 goals this season as freshman Skylar Kidd adds 14 goals, five assists and Doherty has put 15 in the net this season.
