(NLI Photos) Stud sprinter Ryan Held signs with NC State

Defending Illinois High School state champion Ryan Held has signed a National Letter of Intent to swim for the North Carolina State Wolfpack in 2014.

Held is a rare commodity: a sub-20-second sprinter out of high school who also appears to have ability to swim up to the 200 with success at the college level. He’s been 19.92 in the 50, 43.91 in the 100 and 1:39.54 in the 200. He’s also a strong sprint butterflyer.

Held swims for the Springfield YMCA and Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin High School. Read more about his commitment here.
