(NLI Photos): Brooke Lorentzen Officially Becomes a Gopher

This past weekend, Brooke Lorentzen took one final visit to the University of Minnesota campus, specifically for the USA Swimming Grand Prix meet that they hosted.

It’s a good thing she signed before leaving Southern California: when she left Los Angeles, it was in the 90’s, and when she arrived in Minnesota, it was an unseasonably-warm 50 degrees.

All weather jokes aside, Lorentzen will be a big addition for the Golden Gophers. The Open Water Junior National team member joins a freestyle group that was really impressive at that Grand Prix. Her yards bests are 1:47.89, 4:45.19, and 9:49.72 in the 200, 500, and 1000 yard freestyles. Read more about Lorentzen’s commitment here.
