NCAP Freestyler Justin Touve Commits to Fairfield University Stags

Justin Touve, a free/fly specialist from Nation’s Capital Swim Club, has committed to swim at Fairfield University beginning in the fall of 2015.

Touve is a senior at Potomac Falls High School in Loudoun County, Virginia. At the 2014 Virginia High School 5A State Swimming and Diving Championships, he placed third in the 100 free, ninth in the 50 free and was a member of Potomac Falls’ 200 medley relay and 400 free relay teams.

Touve’s best events are:

50y free: 22.18 50m free: 25.31
100y free: 47.78 100m free: 54.45
200y free: 1:43.28 200m free: 1:58.50
500y free: 4:48.83 400m free: 4:17.61
100y fly: 54.95 100m fly: 59.90
200y fly: 1:57.66 200m fly: 2:12.88

Touve’s current best times would have scored at the 2014 MAAC Swimming and Diving Championships: 200 free (B-final) and 200 fly (B-final). However, it’s a good bet he’ll have some new short course times when he arrives in Fairfield; Touve dropped 0.7 seconds in the 50m free this past summer, 2.5 in the 100m free, 7.5 in the 200m free, 9.5 in the 400m free, 6 in the 100m fly and 21 seconds in the 200m fly.
