MN State Champ Kasey Milstroh Commits to Minnesota

The University of Minnesota women will be keeping a state champion in state for her NCAA career, as freestyler Kasey Milstroh has signed her national letter of intent to join the Gophers in Fall 2017. Milstroh’s club training base is with the Saint Cloud YMCA Swim Club, and her primary focus is on the sprint and middle distance freestyles. She’ll be heading to Minnesota’s campus after she graduates from Foley High School at the end of this school year.

Milstroh’s Top Times:

  • 50 free- 24.10
  • 100 free- 51.02
  • 200 free- 1:50.61
  • 500 free- 5:01.00

At this month’s 2016 Minnesota Class A High School State Championships, Milstroh was a 2-time individual state champion for Foley. At that meet, she won the 200 free before going on to claim her 2nd gold in a nailbiter finish in the 100 free. Her winning time of 51.02 in the 100 free was a new best time. In addition the her 2016 titles, Milstroh won the 500 free in a personal best 5:01.00 at the 2015 state meet and swam to silver in the 200 free. At the 2014 state meet, she was the silver medalist in the 200 free and the bronze medalist in the 100 free.
