Men’s 100 Freestyle — Finals

  1. Jere Hribar (LSU) — 40.42 **New SEC Meet Record
  2. Gui Caribe (TENN) — 40.45
  3. Josh Liendo (FLOR) — 40.94
  4. Nikoli Blackman (TENN) — 41.70
  5. Luke Nebrich (MIZZ) — 41.81
  6. Garrett Gould (TEX) — 41.82
  7. Alex Painter (FLOR) — 41.84
  8. Devin Dilger (FLOR) — 42.03

LSU’s Jere Hribar won the 100 freestyle in a meet record, touching in a 40.42 for his win. That broke the previous meet record of a 40.45 that both Jordan Crooks (Tennessee) and Josh Liendo (Florida) swam to tie for the win a year ago.

Hribar notably upset Liendo tonight as Liendo touched 3rd in a 40.94.

Split Comparison

Hribar Liendo (2025) Crooks (2025)
50 19.44 18.98 19.25
100 40.42 (20.98) 40.45 (21.47) 40.45 (21.20)

Hribar was notably faster than both Liendo and Crooks were a year ago on the 2nd 50. Hribar was 2nd behind Tennessee’s Gui Caribe at the turn, but was able to come home strong for the win. Caribe touched 2nd in a 40.45, a mark that would have tied the only meet record.

The LSU junior has now dropped over half a second in the 100 free this season as he entered the season with a lifetime best 40.94 that he swam during prelims at the 2025 NCAA Championships. He will look to return to the NCAA ‘A’ final next month as he now sits at the top of the NCAA this season.
