Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Lori Jiang from Scarsdale, New York, has announced her verbal commitment to the admission process* at the University of Pennsylvania for the 2027-28 school year. She told SwimSwam:
“I am extremely excited and honored to announce my verbal commitment to the admissions process for the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business to continue my academic and athletic careers.
This dream wouldn’t have been possible without the endless guidance and support of my family, as well as my amazing friends, teammates and coaches, past and present, who have helped shape me into the person and athlete I am today.
A huge thank you to Coach John, Jack, and Dom for pushing me to give my all, and to Coach Mike, Andrew, and Emma for believing in me and giving me this incredible opportunity. Go Quakers! ❤️💙”
A junior at Scarsdale Senior High School, Jiang swims year-round with Badger Swim Club. She will be the third sibling to swim for Penn, following in the footsteps of Joy Jiang (class of 2025) and Kevin Jiang (class of 2028).
Lori Jiang is a Summer Juniors qualifier in the 100 free and a Winter Juniors qualifier in the 50 free. In high school season last fall, she was runner-up in the ‘A’ final of the 100 free (51.71) and won the ‘B’ final in the 50 free (24.07) at the NYSPHSAA Girls’ State Championship. She also led off the Scarsdale medley relay with a PB in the 50 back (27.50).
At Senior Met Winter Championships in March, she finished 4th in the 50 free (23.50), 6th in the 100 free (51.36), 7th in the 200 free (1:52.66), and left the meet with PBs in the 50 free (23.39), 100 free (51.36), 200 free (1:51.82), and 100 fly (57.19). She took her 100 free time down to 50.93 at Southern Premier and added a PB in the 200 IM (2:06.27), as well.
In long-course season, she notched PBs in the 50 free (26.71), 100 free (57.57), and 50 fly (29.34) at Ocala Futures, finaling in both the 50 free (14th) and 100 free (17th). Jiang wrapped up the summer at Junior Nationals in Irvine, where she competed in the 50/100 free, 50 back, and 50 fly and earned a lifetime best in the 50 back (31.54).
Penn finished in 6th place at the 2025 Ivy League Women’s Championships. Jiang’s times would already help the Quakers at the conference level; she would have been a ‘C’ finalist in the 50 and 100 free, and would have just missed scoring in the 200 free (it took 1:51.78 to get a second swim) at 2025 Ivies. Then-freshman Kayla Fu, with whom Jiang will overlap one year, won the conference title in the 100 free and placed 4th in the 50.
Best SCY times:
- 50 free – 23.39
- 100 free – 50.93
- 200 free – 1:51.82
- 200 IM – 2:06.27
- 100 fly – 57.19
- 100 back – 58.47
*Note: A verbal commitment between an Ivy League coach and a prospective student-athlete is not an offer of admission, as only the Admission Office has that authority. The coach can only commit his or her support in the admission process. Ivy League Admission Offices do not issue “Likely Letters” before October 1 of the prospective student-athlete’s senior year of high school. The Likely Letter, while issued after an initial read of the student’s application, is not an offer of admission to the university.
If you have a commitment to report, please send an email with a photo (landscape, or horizontal, looks best) and a quote to [email protected].

It’s a strong positive signal when siblings follow into the same program.
No surprise here. She will do well in and out of the pool!
