Lindenwood swim and dive split tri-meet with Missouri, Truman and Drury

The Lindenwood swimming and diving teams both split a tri-meet on Saturday at the St. Peters Rec-Plex. In a showdown between three Missouri programs, Lindenwood men and women both defeated Truman, but lost to Drury.

On the men’s side, Lindenwood was a 235-53 winner over Truman, but the Lions fell to Drury by a 155-139 margin. For the women, Lindenwood picked up a 145.5-142.5 win over Truman, and lost to Drury by a final count of 186-105.

Sylwester Borowicz-Skoneczny and Felix Eigel led Lindenwood by both winning two men’s events. Borowicz-Skoneczny was first in the 1000 free with a time of 9:34.48, and had the fastest time in the 500 free with a mark of 4:37.52. Eigel was first in the 200 back with a time of 1:49.52, and also won the 400 IM with a mark of 4:02.10.

Other winners on the men’s side were Mateusz Pacholczyk in the 200 breast (2:04.22) and David Cochran in the three-meter dive (280.88). Women’s winners were Hannah Vinyard in the 200 fly (2:06.21) and Carleen Wayne in the one-meter dive (263.92).

Lindenwood swimming and diving will host another meet next Saturday. The teams at the meet are Saint Louis, Lindenwood-Belleville, Missouri S&T (men), and Maryville (women).

DRURY RELEASE BELOW

Both the Drury men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams claimed dual victories over Lindenwood and Truman State in a dual meet here on Saturday.

In women’s action Drury defeated Truman State 194.50 to 84.50 and defeated Lindenwood 186 to 105. Lindenwood won their dual with Truman State 145.50 to 142.50.

Three DU women won two events, those being Ariel Xu in the 50 Free (23.93) and 100 Free (52.10), Yekaterina Rundenko in the 100 Back (56.50) and 200 Back (2:08.28) and Allie Reynolds in the 500 Free (5:03.21) and 1000 Free (10:24.58).

Martinka Dankova took home the win in the 100 Breast (1:04.96) with freshman Lucie Jolly winning the 200 Breast (2:24.29). Wai Ting Yu win the 100 Fly (57.29), Gretchen Stein won the 400 IM (4:35.51) and Leah Reed won the 200 Free (1:54.45) to help the Panthers claim first.

Rebekah Lapp won the three meter board in diving action with 290.02 points.

The Drury women won the 400 Medley Relay and the 400 Free Relay.

The Drury men took their dual with Truman State 225 to 55 and defeated Lindenwood by a 155 to 139 score. Lindenwood downed Truman State 235 to 53 in their head to head action.

In men’s action DU had top performances from Stanislav Kuzmin who won the 100 Fly (49.96) and 200 Fly (1:52.07) and Rodrigo Caceres who won both the 50 Free (20.63) and the 100 Free (45.53).

Sean Feher claimed a first in the 100 Back (50.05) with Kacper Pelczynski taking first in the 100 Breast (55.78). Kai Wai David Wong captured the win in the 200 Free (1:42.00) and in diving action Blake Solberg was the winner on the one meter board with 253.80 total points.

The DU men won the 400 Medley Relay and the 400 Free Relay.
The Drury men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will host Delta State on November 8th at Breech Pool with start time set for 1 p.m.
