LA28 Chairman Casey Wasserman Putting Talent Agency Up For Sale, Remains On LA28 Board

LA28 Olympics Chairman Casey Wasserman announced Friday that he would be putting his talent and marketing agency up for sale following his appearance in the recently released batch of Epstein files.

In a memo sent to his staff on Friday, Wasserman said he had started the process of selling the Los Angeles based sports marketing and talent management company he started back in 2004.

This news comes a little more than a week after Wasserman was implicated in the latest batch of released files related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for exchanging flirty emails with Jeffrey Epstein’s girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, who is the only associate to have been criminally charged in the Epstein cases.

Wasserman apologized for his communication with Maxwell, and denied any relationship with Epstein stating, “I never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them.”

Following the release of the files, more than two dozen of Wasserman’s clients denounced him or began seeking other representation including famous music artists Chappell Roan and Orville Peck and soccer player Abby Wambach.

The memo Wasserman sent said that he would be stepping back from business interests, turning his attention to the preparations for the 2028 Olympic Games. The rest of the LA28 board announced their public support for Wasserman earlier this week, backing his desire to continue leading the games.

The LA28 committee concluded that Wasserman had no further relationship outside of the emails with Maxwell in a statement, and said “The Executive Committee of the Board has determined that based on these facts, as well as the strong leadership he has exhibited over the past ten years, Mr. Wasserman should continue to lead LA28 and deliver a safe and successful Games.”

This guy was hugely influential in organizing the bid itself. Trump’s still president, we really expect Wasserman’s own people to force him out?

This timeline feels unreal while also not surprising

I know it can be hard when you’re in the throes of it, but I also know you know enough history to know that this timeline is not nearly as crazy as you’re making it out to be. More of human history has been ‘crazy’ than has been sane. We’ve had like probably 59 years of sanity in the entirety of the history of humanity….and which 59 years probably depends on where in the world you live.

I mean…the Australian army equipped with machine guns lost a war against emus in the 1930s.

This timeline is at best equally as insane as that one.

So when is the guy who is mentioned a million times in Epstein files going to resign from his job?

Those files are so heavily redacted that I have trouble knowing exactly who you’re talking about.

how can the LA28 committee conclude wasserman had no further relationships
when the epstein files have been so heavily redacted and withheld as to be useless

who is on the executive committee and based on what “facts”

Good for the clients who forced his hand. I do not know why LA 2028 is keeping him.

why should they remove him? Because he exchanged a few flirty messages far less graphic than kids send sexual text messages today with someone 23 years ago that later proved to be a monster clearly targeting him for his money and connections? Are you saying the same of the Microsoft Board to remove Reid Hoffman – a far, far more actively engaged and intertwined multi-billionaire that happens to be a major Democrat donor?

Has Wasserman anything shown to prove that he knew anything? I don’t know the guy at all. I did work for a prior Olympic Committee and understand how they work. But Minority Report ‘pre-crime’ doesn’t actually exist. Feelings based on what one desires that might have happened… Read more »

There is some implication that he was using words that other individuals were clearly using as code words. I don’t remember the exact language, but someone else posted it in comments of another article.

I don’t know if anybody has borne out what exactly the code words were for. Since nobody seems to really want to investigate anybody other than Maxwell and Epstein, I don’t know if we ever will. But he definitely used words that others were more clearly using as code. I don’t think we know for sure, but I think it’s more than just a wild fringe conspiracy theory about this ‘code’.

I’ve tried to use my language carefully to describe that we don’t really know what… Read more »

What other excuses you have for the person who is mentioned a million in the files?

The cognitive dissonant is insane.

Attempting whataboutism in the Trump era is like that swim coach who posted here that his swimmer should receive credit for the best race plan, even if the race itself didn’t threaten to cooperate

He doesn’t know who you are bud. You don’t need to try this hard to defend him.

They defended Wassermann because the god that they worship is mentioned a million times in the files.

Their brain just refuse to reconcile the facts and their faith in Orange god
