South Orange, NJ – La Salle women’s swimming and diving earned their first victory on the year with a 166-134 win over the Seton Hall Pirates. The men swam hard in a tough 183-116 loss.
How the Swimmers Finished –
- The women won in the 200-medly with a time of 1:46.60
- Rosalia Marin-Martinez got her first individual victory of the year winning the 100-yard backstroke.
- Carlota Ungo added to the women’s wins with a first-place finish in the 100-breaststroke.
- Gabby Herbreder is continuing her strong start to the season taking another first-place win in the 200-yard butterfly.
- Toni Rafferty got first in the women’s 100-yard freestyle.
- For the men, Felix Jedbratt got his first win of the year in the 100-yard freestyle.
- Marin-Martinez got her second first-place win in the 200-yard backstroke.
- Freshman, Tarik Gusic, got first place in the men’s 200-yard backstroke.
- Herbreder took first again in the 200-yard breaststroke.
- Zack Wolbert got the win in the men’s 400-yard IM with a time of 4:11.86.
- The women added another win in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
How the Divers Finished –
- Phoebe Shaya got first place in the women’s 3-meter dive with a 254.25 score.
- Same Henninger took first in the men’s one-meter dive at 275.32.
- Shaya earned her second win of the meet with a first-place win in the one-meter dive.
- Henninger got his second win with a 321..45 score in the three-meter dive.

- Both men and women’s teams will return home to Kirk Pool to face Rider in the first home meet of the season on Friday, November 11th at 6 p.m.

South Orange, N.J. – Seton Hall men’s swimming and diving earned its second victory in as many days, defeating La Salle 183-116 on Saturday afternoon at Arthur E. Imperatore Natatorium.
The Pirates were led by Ben Endersby (Caldwell, N.J.), who picked up two individual wins to go along with wins in both relays on the afternoon. The freshman swam the second leg of the 200 Medley Relay as he alongside Ross Pantano (Bennington, Neb.), Michael Klimaszewski (London, England) and Thomas Minar (Oxford, Conn.) combined to win the race in 1:32.33. Endersby also swam the opening leg in the 200 Free Relay to conclude the meet, with that group recording a time of 1:24.16.
Endersby’s two individual wins came in both of the breaststroke events. The freshman won the 100 Breast with a time of 57.39, while his 200 Breast time of 2:09.74 was good enough to take the top spot.
Three Pirates recorded top-10 program times on the afternoon. In the 1000 Free, Clil Halevi (Kafar Hadranim, Israel) swam a winning time of 9:34.34, which is the eighth-fastest in the event in Pirate history. Halevi repeated his performance from the season opening meet by winning both distance events, as he also won the 500 Free in 4:39.06. Klimaszewski’s won both the 100 Fly and 200 Fly, with his time of 49.56 in the former being a top-10 program time. Minar posted the other top-10 time, swimming a 20.59 50 Free split in the 200 Free Relay.
In diving, Trevor Post (Bay City, Mich.) and Joel Satir (Greenwich, Conn.) finished second and third, respectively, in both the 1M and 3M events. Post recorded a score of 264.07 in the 1M dive before putting up a 300.30 in the 3M. Satir notched a score of 264.07 in the 1M and a 281.92 in the 3M.
The Pirates return to the pool next Saturday afternoon as they host Drexel at Arthur E. Imperatore Natatorium at 12 p.m.
