Kimberly Harbert, who trains several hours north of campus with the Chico Aquajets Swim Club, will continue her swimming career at California State University, Fresno. Harbert is most likely to make an immediate contribution to the Bulldogs in butterfly:

  • 100 butterfly- 57.45
  • 200 butterfly- 2:06.43
  • 100 backstroke- 59.85
  • 200 backstroke- 2:07.12

Her 100/200 butterfly as well as her 200 backstroke would have ranked in the top three on Fresno State’s squad at last year’s Mountain West Conference Championship. Harbert will need to improve in order to get herself in scoring position, her closest event is the 100 butterfly. It took 56.86 to score last year.

“I felt the most comfortable when I visited Fresno, the team and the coaches were both so friendly and outgoing. They have a great program that I can’t wait to start working and improving with!”

Harbert also cited academic reasons for attending Fresno State, she is excited about the school’s program in her intended major.
