Kentucky Announces 2014-2015 Meet Schedule

The University of Kentucky released their 2014-2015 meet schedule for head coach Lars Jorgensen’s second season as the head coach of the Wildcats. Jorgensen said he is looking for a tough meet schedule.

“This is a challenging schedule, but one that will make us better at the end of the season,” Jorgensen said. “It’s a great opportunity to swim against some of best teams in the country and is good preparation for the NCAA championships, which is our No. 1 goal. We want to schedule tough teams, it’s a challenge we are excited for, one that will make us better.”

Their second meet of the season is against the University of the Florida, and then they have a two week break before a tri-dual meet with Indiana and Tennessee. That should be one of the faster early-season meets of the year.

They have one more meet before their winter championship meet. Both the Ohio State Invitational and the USA Swimming National Championships at the end of November and the beginning of December are on their meet schedule.

Before resting for SEC’s and NCAA’s they will have three meets in January. Their final dual meet of the year will serve as senior day as they host the University of Louisville.
