Nicole Christensen from Lake Forest, California has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at TCU beginning in the upcoming 2025-2026 season.

I am thankful for my family, especially my mom, for their infinite love, as well as my friends, coaches, and team for their endless support throughout this journey. Christensen swims for Mission Viejo Nadadores out of Mission Viejo, California and represents Venezuela at the international level. She most recently competed at Junior Pan Ams and was highlighted by a 7th place finish in the 200 IM (2:21.65) as well as an 8th place finish in the 400 IM (5:02.18). She currently is in Romania at the World Junior Championships.
She just finished her senior year at Santa Margarita Catholic High School. In May, she swam to a 6th place finish in the 100 back at the California Division I State Championship meet. She touched in a best time of a 56.97. She also was 11th in the 200 IM in a 2:03.32.
Christensen’s Best SCY Times Are:
- 200 IM: 2:02.94
- 400 IM: 4:26.08
- 100 free: 52.80
- 200 free: 1:51.54
- 100 back: 56.97
The TCU women finished 4th out of 10 teams at the 2025 Big 12 Championships. Diver Anna Kwong led the way with 82 individual points.
Based on her best times, Christensen has the potential to make an immediate impact at the conference level. Her best time in the 200 IM is just half a second off of what it took to make it back in the Big 12 ‘C’ final. Claire Chahbandour was the team’s’ lone finalist in the event as she finished 22nd overall in a 2:02.60.
Christensen will arrive this fall as a member of the class of 2029 along with Josephine Brant, Celeste Donegan, Audrey Falkner Worgull, Molly Cullen, Taylor Steelman, and Avery Dillon. Brant and Steelman also will arrive from California.
