Junior Nationals Qualifier Sadie Davidoff Sends Verbal To Fordham University For Fall 2027

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Junior Nationals qualifier Sadie Davidoff has announced her verbal commitment to stay in-state and compete for Fordham University beginning in the fall of 2027. She publicized the news on SwimCloud, writing:

I am SO grateful and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Fordham University! I’d like to thank my family, friends, coaches, and teammates for supporting me along this journey. A special thanks to Coach Tom and Coach Stuart for this amazing opportunity! GO RAMS!

A junior at Sacred Heat Academy in Hempstead, NY, Davidoff has been a member of her school’s varsity swimming and diving team since her freshman year. She also trains year-round with Long Island Aquatic Club, where she primarily specializes in distance freestyle.

Davidoff most recently competed at the National Club Swimming Association (NCSA) Spring Championships in March, where she clocked her current best times in the distance events. She placed 13th in both the 1000 free (10:02.75) and 1650 free (16:53.93), as well as 29th in the 500 free (4:55.56).

Earlier in the season, Davidoff competed at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) State Championships, where she had her best-ever placements at the meet. She made the ‘A’ final of the 500 free, touching in a then-best time of 4:57.86, and touched 17th in the 200 free (1:55.92), a bit off her best time of 1:54.17 she set at a smaller Intersectional meet a few weeks beforehand.

During the course of the 2025-26 season, Davidoff knocked off nearly seven seconds in the 1650 free, almost two and a half seconds in the 500 free, and exactly eight tenths in the 200 free, a promising trajectory with still 18 months to continue chipping away at her times before she heads off to college.
In long course, Davidoff qualified for Summer Junior Nationals last July, where she placed 32nd in the 1500m free (17:19.85), 47th in the 800m free (9:04.75), and 65th in the 400m free (4:25.31). Her time in the 1500 was a best time by nearly 20 seconds, her time in the 800 was a season-best and her second-fastest ever behind the 9:02.49 from July 2024, while she was a bit off her 4:24.30 best time from earlier in the summer in the 400.

Top SCY Times:

  • 200 Freestyle: 1:54.17
  • 500 Freestyle: 4:55.56
  • 1650 Freestyle: 16:53.93

A Division I mid-major program, Fordham competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference, with the women’s team placing fifth out of 10 teams at this past season’s conference championships.

Based on the results from the meet, Davidoff’s current lifetime bests would have placed fifth in the 1650 free and sixth in the 500 free, setting her up to be an immediate points contributor. Meanwhile, it took a time of 1:52.37 to make the ‘B’ final of the 200 free, putting her just under two seconds shy of the cutoff in that race.

Davidoff is the first publicized commit in the Rams’ class of 2030, with 23.4/51.4/1:51.6 sprint freestyler Katherine Kennedy the only publicized recruit for 2029.
