Pahla World Drowning Prevention Day 2021 mei July 25 ko manaya gya tha. Last year se hi is day ko globally celebrate kiya jane lga hai.
Is day ka main purpose individuals, governments, UN agencies, aur civil society organisations ko collaborate kr ke drowning deaths ko prevent measures provide krne ke liye encourage krna hai.
World Health Organisation ke according, har saal estimated 236,000 logo ki death drowning ki wajah se hoti hai. 1-24 year ke age ke beech ke logo ki ye top 10 causes mei se ek hai. WHO khta h ki low aur middle income countries mei 90% s jyada drowning deaths rivers, lakes, wells, aur domestic water vessels mei hoti hai.
Is day ne India mei bhi importance add ki hai kyuki monsoon season ke drowning ke incidents bdhte huye dikhai dete hai.
