The women of James Madison claimed their fourth consecutive Colonial Athletics Association title last night in Christiansburg, bringing their historic total to 11.

JMU won three of the six events on Wednesday and took the team title after scoring 829 points. Even though they disqualified their 200 medley relay, JMU’s point total was the highest score at the CAA Champs since 2014. William & Mary finished runner-up for the fourth year running, a solid performance after the team was cut and then shortly thereafter reinstated.

James Madison freshman Madison Cottrell earned the Most Outstanding Performer recognition after she took home wins in the 100 fly and 200 back. This year, JMU head coach Dane Pedersen and W&M head coach Nate Kellogg shared Co-Coaches of the Year awards.
