Jake Taulbee, a current high school senior from Cumming, Georgia, has committed to swim for Division I Cleveland State University. Taulbee will graduate from South Forsyth High School in spring 2020 and join the Vikings’ class of 2024.
Taulbee is a current year-round swimmer for Swim Atlanta (Lawrenceville) and is a Winter Jr. National and Futures qualifier. Taulbee is also an eight-time Georgia Senior State Long Course Championship finalist. Earlier this year, he placed 4th in the 1500-meter freestyle at this meet with his current best time of 16:53.99.

This year at the 2020 Horizon League Swimming and Diving Championships with the Vikings, Taulbee would have had multiple finals performances with his current best times. Most notably, he would have placed 5th in the 1650 freestyle (15:50.17) and 10th in the 200 backstroke (1:48.31).

At the Horizon League Championships this year, the Vikings placed 2nd as a team and six team members were given Academic All-League honors.
Taulbee will begin his swimming career at Cleveland State University fall 2020.
