INDIANAPOLIS – IU Indianapolis men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams continued their strong fall season with convincing wins over Washington University in St. Louis and Northern Kentucky on Saturday at the IU Indy Natatorium. The Jaguar men dominated both opponents, defeating Washington 216–76 and NKU 235–54, while the women’s team earned a tight 159–140 victory over Washington and cruised past NKU 240–48.
The Jaguars opened the meet strong in the relays, with the women’s 400 medley relay of Chloe Yerkes, Vicky Surdyka, Addy Hirsbrunner, and Luca McGee taking first in 3:54.43. The men followed with a sweep of the top two spots, as the A-relay of Grayson Tidwell, Logan Kelly, Isaac Wilson, and Nathan Rariden won in 3:17.76, followed closely by the B-relay at 3:22.57.
Distance standout Kaylee Dexter claimed the women’s 1000 free title in 10:37.09, with freshman Bella Tufts adding a fourth-place finish (10:58.71). On the men’s side, IU Indy went 1–2 with Luke Parsons (9:37.06) and Youssef Magdy (9:39.12).
In the 200 freestyle, Nathan Rariden led a 1–2–3 sweep for the Jaguar men (1:38.47), joined by Jack Gallob (1:38.97) and Zach Drotar (1:39.46). Bella Tufts again placed in the top five on the women’s side, finishing fifth in 1:59.08.
Freshman Aubrey Hollis captured the women’s 100 backstroke in 56.71, followed by teammates Addy Hirsbrunner (59.29) and Chloe Yerkes (1:00.28) in the top five. Tidwell took the men’s race in 50.70, leading a 1–2–4 IU Indy showing with David Niemiec and Seth Cannon close behind.
The Jaguars swept the women’s 100 breaststroke with Vicky Surdyka (1:06.06) and Ali Fitzgerald (1:06.24) finishing first and second. Kelly continued his dominance for the men, winning the 100 breast in 54.44 before adding another victory in the 200 breast (2:00.18).
In the butterfly events, freshman Lydia Zenobi won the women’s 200 fly (2:07.85) ahead of Maddy Weber (2:10.26). For the men, IU Indy took four of the top five spots in the 200 fly, led by Will Gorman (1:51.40) and Isaac Wilson (1:51.64).
McGee headlined the sprint events, winning the women’s 100 free (52.57) and finishing second in the 50 free (24.28). Grace Sharp (24.44) and Tori Barnet (24.58) joined her in the top five. Keaton Barwick led the men’s sprints with a 20.52 in the 50 free, followed by freshman Shane Tebeest (21.09).
In the 500 free, Bella Tufts finished runner-up in 5:16.03, while Rariden dominated the men’s race in 4:32.12 with Parsons right behind (4:38.78).

CHICAGO, Ill. – The No. 14 Washington University in St. Louis women’s swimming and diving team wrapped up the two-day Division III Shootout on Saturday, hosted by the University of Chicago. Additionally, the Bears also competed at IU Indy against the Cougars and Northern Kentucky.

The Bears finished fourth with a score of 562.5. Pomona-Pitzer won the field with a 624.5.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Northern Kentucky University Norse men’s and women’s swimming headed to the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis on Saturday to take on IU Indianapolis and Washington University. The Norse posted a solid group of swimmers, including a second-place finish by Hailey Paulick in the 200-yard freestyle and a third-place finish by AJ Gomez in the 100-yard butterfly.
