Green Bay Spoils Stevens Point’s Home Opener With Sweep

STEVENS POINT, Wis.—The UW-Stevens Point men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams hosted Green Bay for the home opener. The men finished with a score of 78 to Green Bay’s 153, the women finished with a score of 39 to Green Bay’s 200.

Results

The men were led by first-place finishes from Camden Barwick (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) and Declan Trant (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South).

Barwick won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.13.

Trant took both the one-and three-meter dives with scores of 321.15 and 271.75, respectively.

The women were led by Hollyn Ambre (Batavia, Ill./Batavia), Lola Michel (Grafton, Wis./Grafton) and the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Anna Scheglowski (Northfield, Minn./Northfield), Ambre, Maddy Magle (Sheboygan, Wis./Kohler) and Katie Shaw (Madison, Wis./West).

Ambre placed second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 56.06. She also finished fourth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.04.

Michel finished third in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:58.07.

Scheglowski, Ambre, Magle and Shaw finished third with a time of 3:46.81.

The Pointers are back at home tomorrow (Nov. 1) to host St. Norbert beginning at 1:00 p.m.
