CLARION, Pa. — The divers of the Golden Eagles women’s swimming & diving team competed in the Clarion November Diving Invite on Saturday afternoon, sweeping the 11-dive events in Tippin Natatorium.
In effect, Clarion women won three of the four events on Saturday, with Duquesne’s Ashley Felitsky posting the top score in the six-dive list of the 1-meter Dive. Other than that it was all Golden Eagles, with Colleen Hudson and Katie Madigan posting the top scores in the 11-dive lists and Luna Castellanos winning the 3-meter Dive six-dive list.
Hudson led a sextet of Golden Eagles atop of the leaderboard in the 1-meter Dive 11-dive list, posting a score of 427.95. Castellanos was second with a score of 408.70 while Madigan was third with a 379.50. Mya Lee placed fourth with a 374.85, Madina Schebler fifth with a 371.85, and Reese Norton rounded out the top six with a 352.75.
Castellanos was the top scorer in the 3-meter Dive six-dive list, taking first overall with a score of 276.20, while Hudson was just behind her at 252.95. Madigan went on to win the 11-dive list with a score of 433.80, followed by Taelyn Thomas’s score of 405.40. Schebler was third with a 371.00.
CLARION, Pa. — The divers of the Golden Eagles men’s swimming & diving team competed at the Clarion November Diving Invite on Saturday, with Clarion athletes posting the top scores in both 11-dive lists at Tippin Natatorium.
Zach Schering was the high scorer in the 1-meter Dive, leading the field with a score of 468.70. That led a trio of Golden Eagles atop the leaderboard in that event, with Zakary Kennedy placing second with a score of 462.60 and Michael Flamm third with a mark of 451.60.
Kennedy and Schering flip-flopped in the 3-meter Dive, with Kennedy posting a score of 500.45 that marked his best career score in the event. Schering was just behind him with a score of 487.70. Ethan Coronado took fifth with a 432.05, followed by Flamm’s score of 431.25.
