Futures ‘A’ Finalist Amelia Lee Commits To Missouri For Fall 2026

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Amelia Lee from Nicholasville, Kentucky has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at Missouri beginning in fall 2026.

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my athletic and academic career at the University of Missouri!! Thank you to all my family, friends, and coaches for their endless support. All glory to God for this blessing! Lastly, thank you to the Mizzou coaching staff for this amazing opportunity. Can’t wait to be a Tiger! #MIZ “

Lee swims for Highbridge Aquatics and had a huge meet to close her long course season at Ocala Futures. There she swam to two ‘A’ final appearances and best times in all five of her events. She finished 6th in the 200 fly in a 2:17.82, 8th in the 100 fly in a 1:02.44, and also won the ‘B’ final of the 100 back in a 1:03.99. She was 10th in the 200 IM in prelims with a 2:22.75 but did not swim in finals.

Her long course success was continued momentum from her short course season as she swam to numerous best times at the Kentucky 13&Over State meet back in March. Her highlights include a win in the 50 free with a lifetime best 23.72, another lifetime best with a 1:59.03 in the 200 back which was over a six second drop, and a 54.57 in the 100 fly another lifetime best.

Lee’s Best SCY Times Are:

  • 100 back: 54.30
  • 200 back: 1:59.03
  • 100 fly: 54.57
  • 200 fly: 2:01.40

The Missouri women finished 10th out of 13 teams at the 2025 SEC Championships with a total of 398 points. Zara Zallen led the way with 37.5 individual points including a 6th place finish in the 100 free with a 48.31.

It took a 1:55.25 in the 200 back and a 53.11 in the 100 back to earn a second swim at 2025 SECs. Missouri had no finalists in either backstroke event this past season. With her current momentum, Lee has the potential to be a contender for the backstroke spot on the medley relay as her 100 back would have been tied for 3rd this past season and Sydney Bales led the team with a 53.30 100 back.

Lee will arrive at Missouri next fall as a member of the class of 2030 along with Tess Stavropoulos, Tori Yamamura, and Alexis Cook.
