WOMEN
GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg returned to the top of Centennial Conference women’s swimming for the first time since 2013, edging out Swarthmore for the team title on Sunday at Bullets Pool. The host Bullets compiled 887.5 points to claim their conference-leading 15th CC crown – the third-most points in the championship meet in Centennial history.
Swarthmore finished as the runner-up with 856 points, followed by Franklin & Marshall (430.5), Dickinson (345.5), Washington College (335.5), McDaniel (251) and Bryn Mawr (237) in the team standings.
The Bullets and Garnet combined to win all 18 events, with Gettysburg claiming 11 golds. The Gettysburg duo of Kate Crilly and Talia Moss swept the major awards, with Crilly named the meet’s Most Outstanding Performer and Moss taking home Most Outstanding Rookie Performer accolades. Crilly won the 50 and 100 freestyles individually and was part of three first-place relays (200 medley, 400 medley, 200 freestyle).
Moss took first in the 200 IM and 400 medley relay, and also nabbed silver in the 200 breaststroke and bronze in the 100 breaststroke for the Bullets.
The margin of victory – 140.5 points – fell well short of last year’s wide discrepancy, but the final numbers were no less staggering. The Bears won all five relays, rewriting the conference and championship meet record book in four of them. All told, eight of Ursinus’ 14 gold medals over the four-day championship came with new conference records attached, and the program record books will need even more extensive editing at season’s end.

MEN
GETTYSBURG, Pa.— For the first time since 2010, Franklin & Marshall is back on top of the Centennial Conference in men’s swimming. Trailing by 15 points entering Sunday, the Diplomats edged out Gettysburg by 18.5 points to claim their ninth overall CC crown.
F&M compiled 802.5 points throughout the four-day meet, capturing nine golds in the 18 events en route to the title. Gettysburg finished second with 784 points, with Swarthmore close behind in the third at 718.5. This marked the closest-ever top-three team finish in Centennial history, as the top three teams had never finished within 100 points of each other in the 27-year history of the event.
Dickinson (458), Washington College (279.5) and McDaniel (164.5) rounded out the team scores.
F&M’s Graminski took home Most Outstanding Performer of the meet honors after collecting six total gold medals throughout the meet. The sophomore won three individual races and was part of three winning relays for the Diplomats. Individually, he won the 200 IM, 100 and 200 breaststroke events while also teaming up for wins in the 200 medley, 400 medley and 400 freestyle relays. Graminski set new conference, championship meet and pool records in the both the 100 and 200 breaststrokes and was part of championship-record 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.
Swarthmore’s Ben Freeman was selected as the Most Outstanding Rookie, marking the third straight year in which the Garnet received the honor. Freeman won bronze in a trio of events, including the 1,650 freestyle on Sunday with an NCAA B cut time of 16:07.03.
