Former All-American Swimmer Robby Hayes to Appear on The Bachelorette

Former Florida State All-American Robby Hayes is set to appear on the new season of ABC hit reality series The Bachelorette, which will debut on Monday night on ABC.

The series, in its 12th season, features a mess of eligible bachelors competing for the hand of bachelorette Joelle “JoJo” Fletcher, a Real Estate Developer. The winning bachelor then has the opportunity to propose to the bachelorette, who can choose to accept or decliner the marriage offer.

Hayes was on the varsity swim team at Florida State from 2007-2011, where he broke the School Record in the 200 yard IM at least 4 times in his career. He still ranks 3rd all-time in program history in that event, and is also in the school’s top 10 in the 100 free, 200 free, and 200 fly.

He earned one career Honorable Mention All-America honor by swimming as part of Florida State’s 800 free relay that was 16th at the 2009 NCAA Championships.

Hayes is originally from Alpharetta, Georgia where he attended Maris High School. He’s currently studying for a Masters in Finance at the University of Miami, and according to his LinkedIn profile is the Eastern Regional Sales Manager for Myrtha Pools.

The first show airs on May 23rd beginning at 9:01 Eastern Time on ABC.
