Lawrenceville, N.J. – (January 13, 2026) – The Fordham swimming & diving team returned to action on Tuesday night, picking up a dual meet sweep of Rider at the Richard A. Coppola Pool in New Jersey.

MEN’S MEET

  • The Rams pulled out a 124-115 win over the Broncs.
  • The meet win was decided on the final event, as Fordham’s team of Daniel RibeiroMisha SemenovDavid Topi, and Jesse Abramson won the 200 freestyle relay in a time of 1:24.58.
  • Quinn MacPhail was a dual event winner, taking first in the 200 (1:42.52) and 500 (4:35.69) freestyle events.
  • Five other Rams earned an event win on Tuesday.
  • Aiden Dane was first in the 1000 freestyle in 9:56.04, while Max Maycher won the 200 individual medley in 1:54.94.
  • Ribeiro grabbed first in the 100 butterfly in 51.21 seconds with Abramson taking the top spot in the 100 freestyle in 47.21 seconds.
  • David Vargas was the final Ram with an individual event win, placing first in the one-meter dive with a score of 383.25 points.

WOMEN’S MEET

  • Fordham dominated Rider by a score of 175-68.
  • Katie Laverty swept the diving events with scores of 296.10 (1M) and 283.58 (3M).
  • The Rams also swept the relays, as Saskia AikmanLexi LundellElla Montgomery, and Hayley Clark won the 200 medley relay in 1:46.34, while Aikman, Lundell, Allison Kim, and Hope Nolan took first in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:37.59.
  • Fordham then won seven individual swimming events, beginning with Campbell Stever taking first in the 1000 freestyle in 10:31.70.
  • Aikman placed first in the 200 freestyle in 1:55.41, while Lundell was first in the 50 freestyle at 24.64 seconds.
  • Miranda Bonitatebus was the winner of the 200 individual medley in 2:14.92 with Montgomery placing first in the 100 backstroke in 57.91.
  • Clark won the 100 butterfly in 57.97 seconds, while Magdalena Wlodarkiewicz was first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.01.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University women’s swimming and diving team was defeated in its final meet in Coppola Pool for the 2025-26 season Tuesday, falling to Fordham 175-68. The Broncs fall to 2-5, while the Rams move to 6-2 on the year.

The Broncs won two events in the meet.

Sonya Mishakova (Bali, Indonesia/Australian Independent School Bali) got the first Rider win of the day in the 100-free, stopping the clock at 54.84.

Casey McLaughlin (Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey) swam to victory in the 500-free, touching the wall at 5:16.45.

NOTES & QUOTES
– McLaughlin was also second in the 1,000-free and third in the 200-free.
– Donja Tripp (Bethlehem, PA/Notre Dame) was second in the 50-free.
– Rachel Hutchins (Elkridge, MD/Annapolis Area Christian School) was third in the 200-IM and the 100-fly.
– Casey Morgan (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) was second in the 100-back.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University men’s swimming and diving team was defeated in its final home meet of the 2025-26 season Tuesday night, falling to Fordham, 204-90. The Broncs drop to 2-4 on the year, while the Rams improve to 3-5 on the season.

Rider won four events in the meet.

To open the meet, Sebastian Canosa (Morristown, NJ/Morristown), Billy Ruddy (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional), Tivon Benjamin (Palm Bay, FL/St. Anthony’s Secondary School), and Cesar Alvarez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/The Ashton School) swam 1:31.92 in the 200-medley relay to earn the victory.

Ruddy and Alvarez went one-two in the 50-free with times of 21.21 and 21.52.

Canosa earned the win in the 100-back with a winning time of 51.61.

Rider went one-two in the 100-breast with Matthew Borovik (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield) swimming 56.38 and Maxwell Connelly (Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) stopping the clock at 57.10.

NOTES & QUOTES
– Filippo Sala (Davie, FL/Nova Southeastern University School) was third in the 1,000-free.
– Dawid Turos (Riverwoods, IL/Deerfield) and Ethan Rogowski (Waterford, NY/Shenendehowa) swam two-three in the 200-free. Turos also swam second in the 100-free.
– Joey Milhomens (Wolcott, CT/Wolcott) was third in the 200-IM.
– Benjamin and Rogowski finished two-three in the 100-fly.
– Riley Rowan (Simpsonville, SC/Clonlara) was third in the 100-back.
– Luke Mesco (Mullica Hill, NJ/Mother of Divine Grace) was second in the 500-free.
– On the 3-meter, Xantheas was second and Figueroa took third.
