FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Florida Gulf Coast swimming and diving team dominated the Eagle Winter Invitational on Saturday evening at the FGCU Aquatics Complex, hosting Siena and Stonehill College. The Eagles finished at the top of the leaderboard with 249 points.
“Appreciate all who attended the meet today, it was a fun afternoon and we look forward to closing out our home slate with UNF in three weeks.”
- The relay group of Izzy Ackley, Libby Russum, Cassie Bauer and Mia Burke opened the meet with a win in the 100-yard medley relay in 48.69. FGCU was also victorious in both the 500 freestyle relay and 100 freestyle relay.
- In the 500-yard freestyle, Jasmin Kroll took first in 5:09.42. EK Zanoli followed in second in 5:13.54, and Nadia Helm placed third in 5:16.32.
- Nori Hetyei won the 100 backstroke in 58.70, followed by Sydney Ringwald in 59.53 and Audrey Sambrook in third at 1:03.21.
- Leah Gentry-Tuney won the 50 freestyle in 24.05, with Ackley finishing second in 24.50.
- In the 200 butterfly, the Eagles swept the top three. Nastia Tichy led the way in 2:08.00, Jordan Durocher finished in 2:08.25 and Ipek Aydiner was third in 2:11.16.
- Helm won the 100 freestyle in 53.20, and Tichy finished third in 55.59.
- FGCU took the top two spots in the 200 backstroke as Hetyei won in 2:08.15 and Olivia Vecchio placed second in 2:09.75.
- Bauer won the 200 breaststroke in 2:20.45, followed by Kata Joo in 2:24.42 and Ella Smith in 2:25.96.
- Russum won the 100 butterfly, while Kroll placed second in 57.64 and Easton Glandt took third in 59.59.
- The Eagles swept the 200 freestyle, with Lily Magda winning in 1:56.51. Aislyn Barnett was second in 1:58.71, and Vecchio finished third in 1:59.93.
- In the 100 individual medley, Bauer won in 57.23, and Glandt placed second in 1:00.27.
- In the 1-meter dive, Alexandra Andueza finished first with 314.33 points. Bella Pfeil was second with 263.03, and Bri Rodetsky placed third with 251.18.
- Andueza also won the 3-meter dive with a score of 278.93. Kaylin Olson finished second with 228.60, and Pfeil was third with 224.03.
FGCU returns to action on Jan. 24 when the Eagles travel to FIU.

Siena Swimming & Diving delivered a strong, well-rounded performance at the Eagle Winter Invitational hosted by Florida Gulf Coast (FGCU), posting multiple podium finishes and a deep slate of top-five results across the meet.
The Saints competed against FGCU and Stonehill in the meet. FGCU won with 249 points, followed by Siena with 48 and Stonehill with 45.
Clara Samko highlighted the Saints’ efforts with a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, touching in 24.80 seconds, and added a fourth-place showing in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.86). Gaylynn Kirn also reached the podium, placing third in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:13.08, while finishing fourth in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:22.20.
Mea Amedio turned in one of Siena’s strongest individual performances, earning second place in the 100-yard freestyle (54.16) and finishing third in the 100-yard individual medley at 1:01.22. Natalie Blume followed Kirn closely in the 500-yard freestyle, taking fifth overall in 5:26.40.
In relay action, Siena’s “A” 400-yard freestyle relay team of Gabrielle Rentosa, Samko, Amedio, and Kirn placed third with a time of 4:45.93, while the Saints also recorded multiple competitive finishes in the medley and sprint relays. On the diving boards, Sydney Murray represented Siena in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events.
Siena returns to action at home on January 17, hosting Stonehill at 1 p.m. ET at the Siena Swim Center.

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Jan. 10, 2026) – The Stonehill women’s swimming & diving team opened 2026 by facing host Florida Gulf Cast at the Eagle Winter Invitational Saturday.
The Eagles (2-1) emerged with a 249-45 victory over the Skyhawks (2-4).
Junior Grace Idowu placed fourth in the 200 backstroke at 31.61, followed by senior Kristy Barry, who touched the wall right after her teammate at the 32.10 mark.
Freshman Lucy Boisoneau came in fourth in the 100 freestyle event, finishing with a time of 57.69.

Stonehill will head back north for the Brandeis Sprint Meet on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 6:30 p.m. The Skyhawks are 2-4 in dual meets, while the Judges are 0-8.
