Madison, NJ (January 7) – The FDU-Florham women’s swimming team defeated Division I Saint Peter’s University on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 95-68 in the Ferguson Recreation Center.

Senior Sarah Dougherty (Kinnelon, NJ) and first-year Katelyn Plank (Bridgewater, NJ) both posted individual wins on the day and also teamed up for victory in the 200-medley relay alongside Magda Konopka (Paramus, NJ) and Julianna Fazzio (Glassboro, NJ). The relay squad posted a time of 1:55.46, while Dougherty swam a 1:02.60 in the 100-IM and Plank swam a 25.79 in the 50-free.

Dougherty also finished second in the 50-back in 29.39, while Plank finished third in the 50-fly in 28.61. Konopka went on to finish second in the 100-free in 59.03 and second in the 50-breast in 34.84, while Fazzio placed second in the 50-fly in 28.35 and second in the 100-IM in 1:04.80.

Sarah Jurimas (Delran, NJ)Liz Briles (Glassboro, NJ)Emily Maciejewski (Wall, NJ) and Emma Dougherty (Kinnelon, NJ) teamed up for a first place finish in the 200-free relay in 1:52.35 to cap the win for the Devils. Individually, Jurimas finished fifth in the 100-free (1:05.55), Briles placed third in the 100-free (1:01.57) and third in the 50-free (27.84), Maciejewski placed fourth in the 100-free in 1:02.01 and fourth in the 50-free in 28.75 and E. Dougherty placed second in the 200-free (2:07.41) and third in the 50-back (31.43).

Paige Strangeway (Green Township, NJ) rounded out the highlights for the Devils as she touched the wall third overall in the 100-IM in 1:13.83 and fourth in the 50-breast in 36.27.

FDU-Florham will travel to Montclair State University on Tuesday, January 17 for a dual meet with the Red Hawks at 4:00 pm.

Madison, NJ (January 7) – The FDU-Florham men’s swimming team fell to Division I Saint Peter’s University, 114-36, on Saturday afternoon in the Ferguson Recreation Center.

The Devils began the meet with a second place finish in the 200-medley relay as AJ Vicidomini (Howell, NJ)Jackson Standridge (Warren, NJ)Jack Hulsart (Old Bridge, NJ) and Michael Bang (Succasunna, NJ) teamed up for a time of 1:52.68.

Vicidomini went on to finish second in the 50-back (29.27) and third in the 100-IM (1:02.59), while Standridge finished third in the 50-breast (31.46) and fourth in the 100-IM (1:05.53). Hulsart individually finished second in the 50-fly (27.37) and second in the 100-free (57.27), while Bang touched the wall third in the 200-free (1:56.04) and fourth in the 50-breast (31.71).

FDU-Florham’s other individual swimmer on the day was Edward Danza as he finished third in the 50-fly in 29.67, third in the 50-free in 28.18 and fifth in the 100-free in 1:03.49.

Bang, Vicidomini, Hulsart and Standridge teamed up for a time of 1:39.54 in the 200-free relay to cap today’s dual meet with the Peacocks.

FDU-Florham will return to the pool on Tuesday, January 17 with a non-conference dual meet at Montclair State University at 4:00 pm.
