Iman Avdić from Bosnia and Herzegovina has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at Alabama beginning in fall 2026.

Avdic competes for P.K. Sporttime Sarajevo. She most recently represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 2025 World Junior Championships, posting a season best in the 400 IM of a 5:07.28 for 30th. She also was 28th in the 400 free with a 4:27.15.
At the start of July, Avdic represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the European Junior Championships. There she finaled in the 200 fly finishing 16th in a 2:19.26. She was faster in prelims with a 2:16.00. She also swam in prelims of the 200 free and 400 free.
Avdic’s Best LCM Times (With SCY Conversions):
- 200 fly: 2:14.30 (1:58.46)
- 200 free: 2:02.09 (1:47.10)
- 400 free: 4:17.12 (4:48.08)
- 400 IM: 4:52.27 (4:17.54)
The Alabama women finished 6th out of 13 teams at the 2025 SEC Championships with 620 points. It was a close battle for5th-7th as South Carolina was 5th with 635.5 points and LSU was 7th with 609 points. Cadence Vincent led the way for Alabama with 53 individual points including a 2nd place finish in the 50 free with a 21.59.
Based on her best converted times, Advic is just off what it took to final at 2025 SECs. It took a 1:58.30 in the 200 fly, a 1:46.68 in the 200 free, and a 4:44.88 in the 500 free. The team did not score any points in the 200 free at SECs and only 12 in the 200 fly.
Avdic will arrive next fall as a member of the class of 2030 along with Eva Whitehead, Ella Justice, Emma Bronson, Alyse Block, Ava Grazziani, Georgia Wimberly, and Addison Sala.
