2026 Longhorn Elite Invite
- June 4-7, 2026
- Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center
- Long Course Meters (50 meters)
- Meet Site
The University of Texas-affiliated Longhorn Aquatics, which by itself can pretty much fill out a national-class meet thanks to its collegiate and pro training groups, will host the Longhorn Elite Invite from June 4-7.
Scheduled for squarely between the USA Swimming Pro Swim Series meets in Sacramento (May 20-23) and Indianapolis (June 17-20), the event is on a new schedule relative to past years, when it has been in mid-May.
That’s somewhat reflective of different target timelines for the summer of 2026, which doesn’t hold a World Championship meet.
Futures meets and the USA Swimming National Championships are being held on the same weekend at the end of July, with Junior Nationals a week later.
The primary international meets relevant to the training group in Austin are also later in the summer: European Championships are August 10-16, Commonwealth Games are July 24-29, and Pan Pacs are August 10-15.
With the Texas group skipping the Sacramento Pro Swim last year (no psych sheets are out for this year yet), this gives them another racing opportunity close to home ahead of the summer championship season.
The last few editions have been mostly a Texas intrasquad at the top of the event tables, though a few swimmers come in from around the country. In 2025, that included Phoebe Bacon and Michael Long from Wisconsin, plus LSU’s Jere Hribar. In 2024 Nic Fink and Danny Kovac raced on the men’s side and Kasia Wasick and Maggie Wanezek raced on the women’s side.
Still, with a deep internal roster that includes the world’s best male and female swimmer of the moment, Summer McIntosh and Leon Marchand, the Longhorns alone make this one for the calendar.

Why no psych sheets yet?
Do you know where we can watch live stream ?
Interesting placement in the schedule. Should US National team members have an obligation to attend US meets to help promote them?
They absolutely should. But…there has to be financial rewards for that. Folks on the APA have some requirement to attend X meets (I’m not sure I have the latest info on that).
If they started incentivizing coaches, that’s where you would really see the needle move. I’ve said it for years, but money for the coaches would change meets from “a distraction from training” to “an imperative part of the preparation process” real quick.
The answer to this back-and-forth, chicken-or-the-egg, every time is there has to be give and get. I feel like USA Swimming made the first move by expanding the APA. Now the athletes need to do a little better. That, presumably, leads to more revenue, and… Read more »
With this being the case Sacramento is probably gonna be a quieter stop. I feel like Cal, Stanford, and other western teams would be there but who else? Maybe Florida? Maybe UVA?
NC State went last year. Lots of decent internationals – big squad from France. Arizona State.
Meet was not very well attended. Wasn’t a disaster but not big fields.
Is this ticketed? I’d love to be there
They need to switch Sacramento and Ft. Lauderdale
or bring back Santa Clara once the ISC is ready
afraid to ask-
any live stream from texas
I wish I knew the answer – probably not as much as I’d love there to be one
I’d think decent. The college meets are typically limited because of the Longhorn Network, but there shouldn’t be any issues here.
