Danielewski and the Oakland men’s swimming and diving team competed at Northwestern this past weekend in dual meets against the Wildcats and UIC. Danielewski led the way for the Golden Grizzlies, collecting three wins at the meet. The sophomore won the 100 backstroke in a time of 49.76 and remained unbeaten for the year in the 200 backstroke finishing with a time of 1:50.12. Youngstown State hit the water on the road at Cleveland State in a double dual against the Vikings and Valparaiso. Aranda swept her four events, collecting three individual victories in the meet. The freshman broke a 10-year-old school record in the 400 individual medley by .81 seconds and finished with a time of 4:33.01. Her third individual victory came in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:55.45 and she was also a member of winning 400 medley relay squad.

Milwaukee competed at the Wisconsin College Championships and swept both the men’s and women’s diving events. Heger continued to dominate on the men’s side, winning the one-meter and three-meter events for the third-straight week to start the season. The senior posted a score of 328.05 to get top nods on the one-meter board and defeated 13 fellow divers in the three-meter with a score of 367.55.
