Curzan, Mintenko, Moesch & Curtis on 6th NCAA Title: “We’ve exceeded everyone’s expectations”

2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships

The Cavalier women won their 6th national title last night with an exclamation mark, winning the last event of the meet, the 400 free relay, and breaking their own NCAA and US Open record. Listen to what the 4 women have to say about their teammates, the work they’ve put in, and how motivated they were to defend their national championship title.

Very interesting!

If you took the lead-off leg split (backstroke leg) of the W 4 x 100 M-R, S. Curtis would have finished second in the W 100 BK.

Food for thought, coach Todd DeSorbo especially with three rounds of diving between the second and third swimming events during the evening session.

With a smile on her face, she seems happy to me.

I’m a fan of both Torri and UVA but joining the pro group probably not going to happen

adding another personality, and a skill set that overlaps the UVA group, could really upset
the dynamics

free there’s gretchen and kate, fly there’s gretchen and kate, IM there’s alex

imagine the situation in big trial meets where the pro teammates could knock each other off the US team
(already the case with gretchen and kate)
and assuming curzan stays with UVA pro after next year, adds another free, back and flyer

hope Torri can continue to train with Stanford, this year went really great for her!

Don’t forget Moesch who will be right in it for ‘28. And KD looks like 2IM may be a thing. It is as local as it can get for her, I think they would all balance it well.
