Crean Lutheran junior Elise Garcia etched her name in the record books six times between prelims and finals at the 2017 CIF-Southern Sections Division 2 Championships in Riverside, California. She and Crean teammates  Eva Merrell, Jimena Martinez, and Mandy Brenner took down the meet record in the 200 medley relay in prelims (1:42.22), then destroyed their day-old mark in finals with 1:40.77.

Merrell, Mandy Brenner, Journey Werner, lowered the 200 free relay meet record in both prelims and finals, as well, setting the mark at 1:34.60.

In the 50 free, Garcia went 22.71 to lead the field and break the D2 record in prelims, then took another .05 off in finals, winning by half a body length with 22.66.
