Catherine Vogt Named U.S. Open Water Head Coach For 2015 World Championships

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Swimming today announced its open water staff for the 2015 FINA World Championships, slated for July 24-30 in Kazan, Russia.

Catherine Vogt (Trojan Swim Club/USC) will serve as Team USA’s open water head coach for the third time with previous stints coming in 2009 and 2013. She was the women’s open water coach at last summer’s Pan Pacific Championships and has been a member of the USC staff since 2008.

Serving as assistant coaches in Kazan will be David Kelsheimer (Team Santa Monica), Erik Posegay (North Baltimore Aquatic Club) and Josh White (Club Wolverine/Michigan).

Kelsheimer was the men’s open water coach for 2014 Pan Pacs, while Posegay’s most recent international stint came as an assistant coach for the 2013 Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool. White was the open water head coach for the 2011 and 2013 World University Games.
