Broncs freshman Sam Cramer named Athlete of the Month by Rider University

Rider University’s Sam Cramer was honored by his athletic department as the Rider Male Athlete of the Month for December.

Cramer has been on fire in his first semester at Rider, earning three Swimmer of the Week honors for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).

He also broke the Rider school record in the mile at the Princeton Big Al Open, going 15:42.87, which still sits atop the MAAC standings for this season. He also came within two tenths of the 500 free school record, going 4:29.82. He holds the conference’s top times in the 200, 500 and 1650 this season.

Cramer was honored alongside basketball’s MyNeshia McKenzie in what looks like the first of many honors in his young collegiate career.
