Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Quinn Schureck of the Cincinnati Marlins has committed to join the Kentucky Wildcats women’s program for the fall of 2026.

Schureck was featured in SwimSwam’s “Best of the Rest” section of the ranking of the top 20 recruits in the girls’ high school class of 2026.

I’m super excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Kentucky! I’d like to thank my parents for their continuous support through this process, my Cincinnati Marlins teammates and coaches especially Coach Brandon for always believing in me, and finally the UK coaching staff for giving me this incredible opportunity! I can’t wait to be a part of #BBN GO CATS 🔵 🐱!

The Cincinnati, Ohio, native recently competed at the Speedo Junior National Championships. There, she set a plethora of long-course lifetime bests, including the 50 breaststroke (32.35), 50 butterfly (28.61), 100 fly (1:02.75), and 200 IM (2:18.03).

Representing Walnut Hills High School, Schureck finaled in both of her individual events at the Ohio State Championships this past February. Her top finish came in the 100 breast, where she touched in 1:01.34 to finish 2nd with a personal best performance. Additionally, she finished 4th in the 100 fly in a best time of 54.81.

One of her best showings came at the ISCA International Senior Cup in March. At that meet, Schureck set 12 of her current all-time top performances. Some of her most notable include the 100 breast (1:01.28), 200 breast (2:14.83), 200 freestyle (1:51.22), 200 fly (2:02.43), and 200 IM (2:02.65).

Best Times SCY:

  • 100 Breast: 1:01.28
  • 200 Breast: 2:14.83
  • 100 Free: 51.45
  • 200 Free: 1:51.22
  • 100 Fly: 54.62
  • 200 Fly: 2:02.43
  • 200 IM: 2:02.65
  • 400 IM: 4:27.77

The Kentucky women finished 11th out of 13 teams at the 2025 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships.

Based on her best times, Schureck would have tied for 30th in the 100 breast,  33rd in the 200 breast, and 39th in the 200 fly.

Schureck is dynamic, and her times are competitive. Having set most of her lifetime bests within the last six months is a very good sign for the Wildcats.

While her current times don’t translate to immediate scoring impact, there is still a year yet to progress at the high school and club level before her debut, and with her progression track record, there is a good chance she could be in that range by the time she is feet down in Lexington.

Schureck joins Gabrielle Idle-Beavers and Karrington Hansen in the Kentucky class of 2030.
