Bloomfield Hills’ Hannah Richard Gives Verbal Commitment to GVSU Lakers

Hannah Richard, who swims for Motor City Aquatics and is a senior at Marian High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, has made a verbal commitment to swim for Grand Valley State University in 2015-16.

Richard specializes in sprint free, fly, and IM. She swam the 200 IM and 100 fly individually, and was on Bloomfield Marian’s 200 medley and 200 free relays at the 2013 Michigan High School Division 2 Swim & Dive Championships. Although she has been faster in high school, her official times include:

50y free: 25.60
100y free: 57.73
100y fly: 1:00.71
200y IM: 2:17.65

Grand Valley State took second to Wayne State at the 2014 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships. The two teams loaded the A and B-finals of most events, but especially the freestyles. Richard is right on the bubble to score at conference in the 50 free and 100 fly, and as such should be a great asset to the Lakers.
