Shauna is in her junior season with the Aquamules. She is the team’s leading breaststroker and one of the program’s top scorers over the last three years. She is studying Art History and Chinese.
In her first year, Shauna made a quick impact in the breaststroke events. She had an amazing dual meet schedule and was a member of several relays at NESCAC Championships.
Shauna had her breakout season as a sophomore. After dropping time throughout the year, she excelled at NESCAC Championships. She swam career best performances and made finals in the 50, 100, and 200 breast.
Shauna spent the first half of the season abroad in London, England. She returned to the Mules in time for winter training in Puerto Rico. Even with a shortened season, she was am important contributor at NESCAC Championships. She was a key member of Colby’s 200 and 400 medley relay. Both relays finished in the top-8 and were the first to do so for the program in three seasons.
Shauna was in a full-body cast for a calendar year when she was two years old. Her parents were concerned once the cast was removed, she would have difficulty walking. Much to their surprise, once free of her shackles, she immediately began to run.
