Travis was SwimSwam’s 11-12 Girls Age Group Swimmer of the Year in 2015 competing for the Delaware Swim Team/North Baltimore Aquatic Club. She finished the year with seven No. 1 times and made Top 10 lists 20 times out of a possible combined 35 events in the 11-12 age category. Travis was 2015’s top 12 year old in the 500/1000y free, 400/800/1500m free, 200y IM and 400m IM. As a 13 year old, she closed out 2015 at No. 1 in the 1650y free, No. 3 in the 1000 and 500, No. 6 in the 200y free and No. 8 in the 200y IM. She punched her ticket to Winter Juniors in the 1000y free, 100y fly and 400/800/1500 free.
Travis was an honorable mention honoree for the 2017 13-14 girls age group swimmer of the year Swammy award. She ranks eighth all-time among 13-14 girls in the 1650y free, 21st in the 100 and 22nd in the 1650. She also is 14th in the 1500m free and 24th in the 800. At age 15, she notched the 37th best time for 15-16 in the 1000 free.
2018 U.S. Open Water Nationals/Junior Nationals
Travis won the girls’ 7.5K title by more than 10 seconds (1:36.02.779) to earn a spot on the World Junior team. She also finished fifth in the women’s 10K in the national championship race.
2018 U.S. National Championships
Travis placed eighth in the 1500 freestyle (16:21.66) at the Phillips 66 National Championships. She also finished 23rd in the 400 freestyle (4:15.02) after posting a 4:13.70 in the prelims.
