Background:
Daughter of Brian and Jane Hake. Younger sister Lauren is a successful high school diver. Grew up in Fairbault, Minnesota.
High School:
Swam for Fairbault High School Falcons and made her way to state five years. Earned all conference honors 2012-2014 seasons as she won the 100 yard backstroke at Big 9 conference. Owns pool records in the 100 yard backstroke and 50 yard freestyle. Won Minnesota high school state championship in the 100 yard backstroke in 2014.
College:
2014-2015: Had an incredibly successful rookie year for Minnesota State University, Mankato. Finished 2nd in the 100 yard backstroke, 5th in the 50 yard freestyle, 2nd in the 400 yard freestyle relay, and 1st in the 200 yard freestyle relay at the New South Intercollegiate Conference en route to breaking school records in the 100 back and 200 free relay. Was also part of Mavericks 200 yard free relay that broke the NSIC conference and Delta State University pool record.
