With a small number of total athletes, not all of the A, B, and C finals will be filled tonight. In addition, there are a few scratches including Bella Sims in the 200 IM.

Sims entered the meet as the #2 seed in the 200 IM but swam the 9th fastest time in prelims which would have put her in the ‘B’ final. Sims just represented the US last week in Singapore at the World Championships. She instead will focus on the 50 free where she swam the 15th fastest time of prelims with a 26.29.

Sims has a best time of a 25.80 in the long course 50 free which she swam back at 2023 US Summer Nationals. She has a busy event lineup this week as she is entered in the 400 free, 100 fly, 100 free, 400 IM, and 200 free later in the meet.

2025 NCAA Champion in the men’s 200 breast Jassen Yep has scratched the ‘B’ final of the 50 breast where he swam the 15th fastest time of prelims with a 28.62. That was slower than the first 50 of his 100 breast from 2025 US Summer Nationals when he went out in a 28.32.

28 year old Santiago Grassi posted the 16th fastest time of prelims in the men’s 50 free with a 22.95 but has scratched the final. His best time is a 22.28 from the 2019 Pan Am Games that earned him a 6th place finish.
