Anna Moesch Posts #2 Performance All-Time With 1:39.23 200 Free, 2 Women Under 1:40 1st Time Ever

Anna Moesch swam to the #2 performance all-time in the women’s 200 freestyle, winning the NCAA title in a 1:39.23. Also under the 1:40 mark was Liberty Clark who touched in a 1:39.88. This marks the first time ever in which two swimmers have been under 1:40 in the same heat.

Moesch led from the start of the race but was off Missy Franklin‘s record from the start. Moesch blasted a huge 24.97 split coming home to earn the win, while Clark’s 25.07 split was also impressive to come home in. No one else in the field tonight came home under 25.7.
