Charlotte Hooks’s 1:53.29 200 Fly & More Swims You Might’ve Missed On Day 4 of 2026 W. NCAAs

2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships

Highlighting swims you might have missed during the final prelims session of the 2026 NCAA women’s championships was Stanford’s Charlotte Hook who dropped over a second and a half off her seed time to finish 9th in the 200 fly with a 1:53.29. Hook was the #22 seed coming into the day with a 1:54.92. Her time this morning was her best time in over two years, and she notably did not compete at all during the 2024-2025 season.

Also dropping over a second off their seed time this morning was Emma Kern of Texas. Kern tied her lifetime best with a 1:53.23 at SECs and dropped to a 1:51.71 this morning to earn four points for the Longhorns with her 13th place finish. Texas is in a tight battle with Stanford for 2nd, so any additional points are key as she was only the #35 seed coming into the day.

Indiana senior Mya Dewitt also dropped over a second to make her way into scoring for the women’s 200 back. In her last collegiate race ever, Dewitt touched in a 1:51.96, dropping from her entry time of a 1:53.30 that made her the #37 seed. She picked up two points with her swim to finish 15th. She notably was 27th in the event last year with a lifetime best 1:53.34.

Also highlighting the 200 back was Houston’s Alexia Duncan who dropped 1.40 seconds off her entry time. Duncan did not earn an invite when the original psych sheets were released but earned an invite after scratches pulled her into the meet. Duncan entered the 200 back as the #45 seed with a 1:54.60 and dropped to finish 26th in a 1:53.20. That broke her own school record.

USC graduate student Nicole Maier dropped 0.24 seconds off her entry time of a 47.83 to move up from the #34 seed in the 100 free to finishing 17th with a 47.59. Maier’s best time was a 47.77 that she swam in 2024 while with Miami-OH.
