Mitchell Schott Breaks Ivy League Record in 200 Fly; Moves to 17th All-Time with 1:39.05

In his last individual race in DeNunzio Pool, Princeton senior Mitchell Schott blasted a 1:39.05 to lower his own Ivy League, meet, and Princeton program records by 1.37 seconds. He also took 1.82 seconds off the pool record that David Schmitt of Harvard had set in prelims.

Schott was out in 22.08 at the 50, already getting a .42 second lead on Schmitt. With a second 50 of 24.82, he increased his lead to 1.35 second. Schott came home in 25.36/26.79 to notch a personal best 1:39.05 and auto-qualify for 2026 NCAA Division I Championships.

Over the past year, Schott has improved his front half by 1.3 seconds. His comparative splits are:
