The International Masters Swimming Hall of Fame (IMSHOF) is proud to announce its class of inductees for 2014. The group of seven outstanding individuals will be inducted at the annual ceremony to be held Friday evening, September 19th, at the Hyatt Regency in Jacksonville, Florida, in conjunction with the United States Aquatic Sports Convention. The prestigious IMSHOF class of 2014 includes four swimmers, one diver, one water polo player and one contributor from four different countries: the USA, Australia, South Africa and Croatia.
PAM HUTCHINGS
Hutchings,of Australia, has been competing in Masters Swimming since 1987 and has been in the Top Ten for 24 years. She set 28 FINA Masters World Records in the freestyle and backstroke. She has competed in 6 FINA World Championships since 1990 winning 19 gold, 11 silver and 1 bronze medal.
JEAN TROY
of theUSA has competed in Masters Swimming since 1976 and has been in the Top Ten for 32 years. She set 37 FINA Masters World Records in the freestyle, butterfly and individual medley. She has competed at the 1992, 1994 and 2002 FINA Masters World Championships winning 5 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals.
DAVID GUTHRIE
Guthrie, of the USA, has been ranked in the Top Ten for 22 years. He has earned a total of 43 FINA Masters World Records, 24 long course meters and 19 short course meters all in the breaststroke events, ranging from the 50 meter to the 200 meter. He has competed in the 1992 and 2006 FINA Masters World Championships winning 2 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals.
TIMOTHY SHEAD
Competing for South Africa and the USA, first appeared in the Masters Top 10 in 1992 and has been listed there for a total of 17 years since then. As a versatile swimmer, he set 32 FINA Masters World Records, 20 long course meters and 12 short course meters in the I.M, backstroke, breaststroke and relay. He has competed in 10 FINA Masters World Championships winning 17 gold, 16 silver and 5 bronze medals in the I.M, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.
JENNIFER MANGUM
(USA) entered Maters diving in 1990. Now in the 40-44 group, she has amassed 4-1m, 3-3m and 2-tower gold medals within four FINA Masters World Championships and World Masters Games. She competed in all of 1m, 3m, and tower events in each of the four championships also winning silver medals in 3m and two times in tower competitions. She has competed every year in the U.S. Masters National Championships winning 105 gold, 19 silver and 2 bronze.
RADOVAN MISKOV
Water Polo Player of Croatia has been a member of Club Veteran 70 (CRO) since 1981 and served as president of the club for 10 years. In World Masters Games and FINA Masters World Championships he won 1 gold and 5 silver medals. He was voted best player or goal shooter in many tournaments. Beginning in 1995,
TED WITTE
Contributor of the USAoriginated, designed and continues to operate the Masters Diving Website, which is keeping people apprised of national and international diving meets and results. Ted is also an accomplished Masters diver. At the 1998 World Master Games, he won gold medals on both the 1 meter and 3 meter springboard.
